Sales

The Sheriff's Office is issued orders of sales from the Clerk of Courts Office. These sales are advertised in the Daily Standard for three consecutive weeks prior to the sale and are also updated on this site. All sales are on Wednesdays at the courthouse auditorium. Prior to the sale, most properties are appraised from the outside only. It’s important to realize we are selling the house per court orders and we do not have keys, nor can we give you any rights to tour the house before a potential buy. Specific terms of individual sells vary, but in most cases 10% down at the time of sale and the remainder will be due upon confirmation of the sale and delivery of the deed.

The Mercer County Sheriff’s Office is not responsible to determine and makes no representations regarding whether utility bills, such as water, gas, electric, sewer, etc. are paid or whether the property is free of liens. The Mercer County Sheriff’s Office and the appraising agency and its agents make no representations and assume no responsibility for any condition of the property including any environmental or hazardous conditions that may exist within under, around or near the subject property.
