Celina, OH – Mercer County Sheriff Jeff Grey announced today there will be extra deputies patrolling Mercer County during the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday weekend.
Sheriff Grey reminds motorists that area roadways are historically heavily traveled during this holiday, and reminds motorist to drive safely and to always use your seatbelts. Extra Deputies will be assigned to have an increase traffic visibility. Deputies will be targeting unsafe driving, drunk driving, use of seatbelts, and distracted driving. The purpose of the increased visibility is to reduce traffic crashes, and identify un-safe driving in Mercer County.
Sheriff Grey reminds citizens that 2012 has been a dangerous and deadly year on Mercer County Roadways. Mercer County has had 10 fatal crashes, with 15 people killed in those traffic crashes. Sheriff Grey hopes this extra patrol will help keep our roadways safe
