Celina, OH – Mercer County Sheriff Jeff Grey announced today the arrest of Joseph C. Sullivan, age 41, 1874 Schroeder Road, Celina, for manufacturing methamphetamine. Indiana authorities also have an outstanding warrant for Sullivan for sale of methamphetamine.
The Indiana Drug Task Force contacted the Grand Lake Drug Task Force with information that Sullivan may be in Mercer County. Sullivan was located in an outbuilding of the Schroeder Road address. When deputies arrived, Sullivan had an active methamphetamine cooking operation in process. Sullivan was taken into custody without further incident.
Also arrested at the location was Billy Jo Banks, 32, same address and Michael H. Lange 29, same address. Both are facing charges of obstructing justice for misleading deputies about Mr. Sullivan. All three individuals are being held in the Mercer County Adult Detention Facility.
The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation and Identification was contacted to assist with the hazardous material clean up with the costs to be charged to the Sheriff’s Office/Grand Lake Task Force. Also assisting at the scene was Southwest Mercer Fire Department, standing by until the lab could be dismantled and rendered safe due to the possibility of explosion.
