Mercer County Sheriff Jeff Grey announced that his office has filed charges of four counts of Child Endangering against a local male. Charged was 38 year old Michael Jason Buschur, of 6273 State Route 219, Celina, Ohio.
Mr. Buschur was charged in Celina Municipal Court, and was arrested at his home late Monday Evening on the Child Endangering charges. Child Endangering is a Misdemeanor of the first degree. After arrest Mr. Buschur was booked into the Adult Detention Facility, where he later posted 10% of the $75,000.00 bond set by Judge Scheer. Mr. Buschur is expected to appear in Municipal Court on November 9, 2012 at 9:00 AM to answer to the charges.
Mr. Buschur is accused of using a shock type device (Grill lighter) on children ranging from 7 to 13 years of age and inappropriate touching. The parents of the children have been notified. Mr. Buschur is a current member of the Montezuma Fire Department and a past part time police officer with the Village of St. Henry where he resigned early in 2012. Officials have no reason to believe the offenses are related to Mr. Buschur’s status on the Fire Department or him being a former police officer. No other details are being released at this time.
