Vores Welding Theft

Vores Welding Theft - 4/5/2013

On 04-05-2013at approx. 1408 hours a deputy responded to Vore's Welding and Steel, 3234 SR 49, Ft. Recovery in regards to a theft.  Upon arrival the deputy was advised that someone had entered a tool trailer at that location and stole (1) DeWalt Cordless Impact Wrench and (2) DeWalt Cordless Drills.  The deputy was advised that the incident occurred sometime between 1730 hours on 04-04-2013 and 0900 hours on 04-05-2013.  Anyone with additional information or leads should contact Sgt. Court House Security


The Mercer County Sheriff’s Office is in charge of security at the Mercer County Courthouse. The Court Security Division ensures the safety and security of the court buildings and of the people who appear and work in them. Court security facilitates and maximizes the efficiency of all judicial and other courthouse functions.

The Court Security Division assists in delivery of in-custody defendants to and from the courthouse in a safe and secure manner. Deputies also provide general security for the courts.

 
 
 
 

Unsolved Crimes

·         On September 16, 2014, the Mercer County Sheriff's Office received a call from a resident in Blackcreek Township in regards to theft of items from the property.  Several tools and tractor implements were taken from the property and garage.  Stolen was a snow blower attachment, a tiller attachment, a leveling blade and a sickle bar attachment for a Wheel Horse 520H riding lawn tractor, along with a Milwaukee Hole Hog Saw, a Milwaukee drill set and two gas powered mini bikes.  This incident occurred sometime between the hours of 4:00 PM on September 9th and 11:00 AM on September 16th.

 

·         On September 17, 2014 a deputy of the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of Coldwater Creek and Saint Anthony Road in reference to people dumping trash by the creek. It was found that the dumped trash consisted of couches and miscellaneous trash bags.·

Reserve Deputies

Reserve Deputies assist the Sheriff's Office with a variety of operations. These Deputies are peace officer certified in the State of Ohio and are required to meet all training and certification mandates. The Deputies assist the Sheriff by working with each division of the Sheriff's Office. Reserve Deputies also assist with traffic control at parades and provides security at local events.  In addition, they may be called upon to assist with searches and investigations.
