Vores Welding Theft - 4/5/2013
On 04-05-2013at approx. 1408 hours a deputy responded to Vore's Welding and Steel, 3234 SR 49, Ft. Recovery in regards to a theft. Upon arrival the deputy was advised that someone had entered a tool trailer at that location and stole (1) DeWalt Cordless Impact Wrench and (2) DeWalt Cordless Drills. The deputy was advised that the incident occurred sometime between 1730 hours on 04-04-2013 and 0900 hours on 04-05-2013. Anyone with additional information or leads should contact Sgt. Jay Wehrkamp.
The Mercer County Sheriff’s Office is in charge of security at the Mercer County Courthouse. The Court Security Division ensures the safety and security of the court buildings and of the people who appear and work in them. Court security facilitates and maximizes the efficiency of all judicial and other courthouse functions.
The Court Security Division assists in delivery of in-custody defendants to and from the courthouse in a safe and secure manner. Deputies also provide general security for the courts.
· Between the middle of December 2014 and early January 2015 there have been multiple thefts from inside motor vehicles in the southern part of Mercer County. Stolen from within the vehicles is money, electronics and other personal belongings.
· On December 16, 2014 a deputy was dispatched to a residence on Fairground Rd in Jefferson Township for a report of a burglary. Stolen from the residence were multiple guns and a flat screen TV. The incident occurred between 2:00 PM and 10:00 PM on December 15th.
· On December 26, 2014 a deputy was dispatched to a property on Township Line Rd in Granville Township for a report of a theft of farm equipment. Stolen was a Kill Brothers model 1072 ten-ton wagon. The wagon had a blue chassis, a black metal hitch, and tires with white rims. This incident occurred sometime between December 26th and about two weeks prior.
· On January 10, 2015 a deputy was dispatched to Zuma Thru gas station in Franklin Township for a report of a break-in. Large quantities of name brand cigarettes and some alcohol were taken. This incident is believed to have occurred sometime between Friday, January 9th @ 9:10 PM and Saturday, January 10th @ 4:00 AM.
